Immunotherapeutic approaches against glioblastoma

Research focus

We are investigating the interaction between glioma cells and the immune system with a particular focus on novel immunotherapeutic strategies. The following specific aims will be investigated:

• Generation of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells against novel targets on glioma cells
• Characterization of the activity and distribution of CAR T cells upon administration in appropriate glioma animal models
• Development of a study protocol that allows the assessment of CAR T cells in glioblastoma patients
